Dr Laniewski was born and raised in Sydney. He attended St Patricks College in Strathfield and graduated from the UNSW in 1991.
Dr Laniewski trained in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in Sydney at Westmead, St Vincent's, Royal Prince Alfred, Royal North Shore, Concord and Prince of Wales Hospitals. Completing fellowships (FRACS) in General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive surgery before further training at the prestigious Royal Marsden Hospital in London, UK.
He is part of the Breast Cancer Institute of NSW and the Head and Neck Cancer Unit at Westmead Hospital. With multiple appointments at Private and Public Hospitals in Sydney, Dr Laniewski also provides a service to the region of Albury and Wodonga.
Dr Laniewski has a large skin cancer practice with particular interest in reconstructing facial defects following excision of all types of skin cancer. Other interests are aesthetic breast surgery, including breast lift, reduction and augmentation, facial aesthetic surgery, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, body contouring surgery and hand surgery.
Dr Laniewski regularly visits Albury for surgery and consultation with patients.
