Adam is a graduate of the University of Melbourne. He trained in General Surgery at the Austin Hospital, Heidelburg.

After obtaining his FRACS, Adam went to the UK and obtained further training in esophageal and gastric surgery. He worked with
Shaw Somers, one of the best known upper gastrointestinal surgeons in the United Kingdom. This included performing esophageal and gastric
cancer surgery, as well as hiatal hernia surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Adam moved to the NSW/VIC border on a full-time basis in 2020.

Adam sees both public and private patients. He offers laparoscopic hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, minor skin lesions, gastroscopy and
colonoscopy, upper GI malignancy and all aspects of upper GI surgery, including hiatal hernia and achalasia. He also continues to offer an
extensive bariatric service.

Adam is happy to admit emergency patients to the Albury Wodonga Private Hospital at short notice. Patients referred for general surgery will be seen in rooms within two weeks of receiving the GP referral. For more urgent surgical referrals, please contact the rooms for an urgent appointment. 

Currently, Adam serves on the board of the Australian and NZ Society of Metabolic and Obesity Surgery and is an active member of the
International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus. He is also a senior lecturer at the UNSW Rural Clinical School, teaching the
medical students.
